How many days are enough for Masai Mara?

How many days do you need in Masai Mara National Reserve has been the major question for first-time travelers to Kenya, Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara game reserve is big, situated in southwest Kenya, and covers about 1,510 square km (583 square miles). For you to explore and discover mara to your satisfaction, you need at least 2 nights/3 days in the Masai Mara game reserve.

The Mara game National Reserve is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife, and endless plains.

The quintessential Masai Mara Tour & safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras, and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.
The Masai Mara National Reserve and its environs conservancies form Kenya’s flagship conservation area not only in Kenya but also in entire east Africa.

This makes Kenya one of the top Wildlife safari tour destinations in Africa. Its vast savanna open plains host a wide sanctuary for an abundance of wildlife.
Some of the major wildlife here includes – elephants, buffalo, zebra, giraffes, and hyenas. Similarly, the park also hosts some of the famous African big cats: lion, leopard, and cheetah.

This is where the great Wildebeest migration river crossing beholds annually from June to early October.
The great wildebeest river crossing is at its peak in the month of July/August through to September and October respectively.

The Mara is a much-welcomed pit stop for unending masses of wildebeest that follow the rains on their death-defying, 2 900-kilometer (1 800-mile) circular journey.

If you are not pressed for time, Masai mara requires from 3 Nights/4 Days to 5 Nights/6 Days Masai Mara Safari Kenya to enjoy the full scope of wildlife in the park.

However, 2 Nights/3 Days is perfectly okay. This will give you enough time to explore and view the entire variety of wildlife and sceneries in the park.

How much does a luxury Masai Mara safari trip cost?

What does a Kenyan safari cost, more so, a luxury masai mara safari journey? It all depends on what sort of safari you want and can afford.
Kenya has more variety than most other African safari destinations, with excellent options from the lower end of the pricing scale (from US$175 per person per day) to luxury Kenya safaris (up to US$1000).
While accommodation is partly what will determine the cost for many travelers, it can also depend on how you wish to travel between the various parks.

Air transfers, usually via Nairobi, can be expensive, but dramatically reduce the amount of time you will spend on the road; thereby maximizing the amount of time, you will get to spend in the parks themselves.
Remember also that most Kenya safari packages will include transport, accommodation, and all meals, and activities (including game drives).

Talk to us, you deserve the adventure of a lifetime.

How much is a safari in the Masai Mara National Park?

The Masai Mara Adventure Safari Tier 1 (Premier Experience) rooming & safari activity rate in Kenya starts from the US $750 to the US $1250 per person/night sharing on average with the very few topping to around $1750 a night for a highly exclusive, upmarket and private experience.

How Much Does an African Safari Cost?

An African safari costs anywhere between $125 and $1,500 per person per night. A budget safari averages $150 per night, mid-range $350, and luxury $750. The 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara extreme top safaris can easily go up to $1,500 per night or more! There is literally a safari to suit every budget.

Which is the best month to visit or Take a Luxury Masai Mara Safari?

When is the best time to visit Kenya? The direct answer is, that Masai mara is best all year round except when you are interested in a great Wildebeest Migration.

June to October is an excellent time for 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara, Kenya tours. During these months, the weather is generally dry (although it can get really hot in October and the tail-end of September) and most trails are open.

This also coincides with the wildebeest and zebra migration in the Masai Mara National Reserve. This is the dry season, and as it progresses, water sources for animals tend to dry up and become fewer, drawing animals in numbers to those that remain.

One downside is that, apart from June (which is one of my favorite months to visit), high-season prices apply. Crowds are also larger – in some parks, the queue of safari vehicles can take away something from your experience, and some areas of the Masai Mara can be completely overwhelmed with vehicles during the migration.

The best option to beat the camps and lodges’ overcrowding traffic is to book a 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara package.

Visiting from November to February also has its devotees – migrating birds arrive, the rains rarely disrupt travel, and the country is also transformed into a lovely shade of green.

Most travelers avoid March to May because heavy rains are always possible and can transform safari trails into muddy bogs.

That said, 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara Safari prices are lower in April, so if you are keen on budget, consider traveling in the low season.

What can you do in Kenya for a 3-days Masai mara luxury safari?

The correct format of this question is; Why visit Kenya, and what are the major attractions, what can we do with the 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara?

It is with no doubt that 3-Days Luxury Masai Mara Safari Tours’ outstanding wildlife is the main reason to visit Kenya. While many visitors come for the migration, Kenya is excellent year-round.

With a large number of world-class national parks – apart from the Masai Mara, there’s Amboseli, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Tsavo East, and Tsavo West – where superb wildlife-watching is almost guaranteed. It all adds up to Kenyan safari possibilities of great variety.

Kenya is a Big Five territory, with healthy populations of elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and rhinos, but the birdlife is also outstanding, as is the cultural element – this is the land of the Maasai, Samburu, Turkana, and others.

The sheer number of habitats, too, makes Masai Mara a wonderful scenery – endless horizons in the Masai Mara, tropical forests in Kakamega, the starkly beautiful parks of the north, and peerless Kilimanjaro views from Amboseli.
