How much does the Kenya safari cost?
When planning your African safari, more so east African safari, what lingers first in your mind is a 5-days Kenya safari cost. Ideally, how much does a Kenyan safari cost?
Kenya safari all depends on what sort of safari experience you want and can afford. Kenya has more variety than most other African safari tours.
Kenya is the ultimate historical home of the East African safari tour. A land of sweeping savannah grasslands inhabited by charismatic megafauna, including Big Cats, the Big Five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino), and just about everything in between.
Elsewhere, landscapes here stir the soul with deserts in the north, dense forests in the west, Rift Valley lakes in the center, and tropical coast out east.
This result for those on safari is an experienced safari industry ready to show you a seemingly endless parade of wildlife against one of the most beautiful backdrops in Africa.
How long do you need for a safari in Kenya?
How many days do you need for the Kenya safari is the big question? You should spend a minimum of 2 Nights/3 to 4 days and three nights at the Masai Mara for you to enjoy the full scope of wildlife in the park.
4 days and 3 nights will allow you to have 4 game drives for the length of your stay and allow you enough time to rest when you arrive at the park.
If time is not a limiting factor, It’s best to spend more time in the park. You will surely find it worth it to consider the 5-Days Kenya Safari package and even more.
What time of year is best for the safari in Kenya?
Best Time to Go to Kenya: A diverse geography means a variable climate across the country but Kenya is considered a year-round destination for both safaris and beach holidays.
Most Kenya safari destinations are at their best between January and the end of March; the climate is mild, mostly dry and game viewing is at its peak.
Naturally, this time is considered the best time to go to Kenya on safari but a rainy season visit – between mid-March to June and again between October and December – is well worth considering in order to avoid the peak-season crowds and to take advantage of cheaper, off-season rates on accommodation and tours.
If however, it’s a case of choosing when to go to Kenya for the Masai Mara wildebeest migration, then go between mid-August and late October when the herds have returned from their months in Tanzania’s Serengeti.
The best time to visit Kenya beach destinations is a moot point: Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast is hot and humid all year round and rain can fall at any time.
We would however recommend avoiding the coast during the mid-March to late May season when temperatures and rainfall are at their highest.
For more information on when to go on a 5-Days Kenya Safari, use our detailed climate guide below or simply enquire with one of our Africa Safari Experts.
In summary:
The best time to visit Kenya is during the Dry season from late June to October (these are the best wildlife viewing months).
The wildebeest migration usually reaches the Masai Mara in August and remains until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania.
5-Days Kenya Safari Wildlife viewing is good year-round, but this can differ for some parks. See below to learn when to visit which park.
How many days in Kenya is enough?
How long should you spend in Kenya? The answer is two weeks {14 days}.
This best is a maximum of 14 days is a good amount of time to start to get to know Kenya, although there is still a chance you will wish you had stayed longer.
Most 5-Days Kenya Safari tours offer an overview of the main highlights: beaches, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and some culture.
