6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari Highlight per park:

This 5 Nights/6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari tour starts from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara is a protected area in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. This famous Tanzania National Park forms part of the Mighty Tanzania Northern Safari circuit.

The park is worth visiting as its an all year-round tour destination with astonishing sighting for all seasons. While on this 6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari tour, you are sure to encounter many wildlife through out the year.

The dry season between June and October is best for wildlife viewing, game is easier to spot and sightings are often incredible, especially around the water sources.

Lake Manyara National Park provides a unique wilderness experience. Including diverse landscapes such as the Rift Valley soda lake, and open grasslands

Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect.

The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants.

Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the forested valley slopes.

A Lake Manyara safari is a fascinating experience, as the park also features a ground-water forest, acacia tortilis woodland and hot springs called Maji Moto.

Troops of several hundred olive baboon appear alongside Sykes monkey and short-eared galago. Cape clawless otter, Egyptian mongoose, hippo and klipspringer are other park residents.

Wildlife & Animals – Lake Manyara NP

The park is known for its legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on the grassy plains.

The lake is a seasonal home to large flocks of flamingos, and a wide array of water-birds can be found on the shore at all times.

Serengeti National Park – 6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari

The Serengeti is one of the most famous parks in Africa and is synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania’s oldest park and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year.

The best time to go on a Serengeti Safari is from June to February (Areas are best at different times)
High Season and July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

The Serengeti is considered Tanzania’s best park. Big herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and many antelope, such as eland, topi, kongoni and impala are resident at any time of the year.

All three big cats are easily seen. Lion are often found on a kill. Cheetah are very common on the southeastern plains, while leopard can typically be found lazing in one of the big trees along the Seronera River.

The Serengeti has more than 500 bird species recorded, and the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is one of Africa’s Endemic Bird Areas (land important for habitat-based bird conservation containing restricted-range bird species), hosting five bird species found nowhere else.

These specials are easy to locate within their restricted range. The grey-breasted spurfowl is common in the Seronera area.

In woodland areas, parties of Fischer’s lovebird draw attention to themselves and the rufous-tailed weaver is a fascinating bird placed in its own genus.

The other two endemics are the Usambiro barbet and the grey-crested helmet-shrike. Migratory birds are present from November to April.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari Tour

A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime. There are few places that have wildlife densities and variety on this level. It is not unusual to see the Big Five in one day – and all this in the most amazing setting with a backdrop of the 600m/1,968ft-high crater wall.

Ngorongoro wildlife, features, some of the breath taking African Animals that features in each and every travelers bucket list animals to encounter.

6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari – Ngorongoro crater Wildlife Highlights

A real special of the crater is the black rhino. Rhino is hard to see in Tanzania, and usually sticks to thick vegetation. This is not so in the crater, where they have a predictable routine of spending the night in Lerai forest, and the day in open grassland.

Black-backed and golden jackal are equally common in the crater and the density of spotted hyena is quite extraordinary.
The Wildlife viewing here is excellent in the crater throughout the year. The scenery of the crater is most spectacular in the Wet season, from November to May, but at that time the grass might be long in places.

This can interfere with seeing some of the smaller animals. March and April are the wettest months.

The best Time to experience Ngorongoro Crater? Wildlife viewing inside the Ngorongoro Crater is superb at all times.

However, grass on the crater floor is short in the Dry season (June through September) and this makes animal spotting easier. The scenery is lush and spectacular in the Wet season months (from November to May).

5 Nights/6-Days Tanzania Budget Camping Safari – Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is one of the more seasonal parks in northern Tanzania, with a lot of migratory movement within the greater Tarangire ecosystem.

In the Dry season, between June and October, large herds of animals are attracted to the Tarangire River. At this time, the elephant numbers are spectacular and the park should be part of any safari in northern Tanzania.

Tarangire National Park Wildlife Highlights

Tarangire is home to some dry-country antelope, such as the rare fringe-eared oryx and peculiar, long-necked gerenuk.

The swampy areas in the south of the park offer some interesting wildlife viewing opportunities including wallowing elephants and buffalo, the Silale Swamp lion pride and sometimes wild dog. Big pythons can sometimes be found in trees when the swamps are drying up.

Best Time for Wildlife Viewing

The Dry season (from June to October) is the best time for wildlife viewing. Large herds of animals migrate to the park from the surrounding areas.

Animals are easier to spot because vegetation is thinner and wildlife congregates around the Tarangire River when other water sources dry up. During the Wet season (November to May) many animals migrate out of the park again, and wildlife viewing is not as good.
