Later a short 1-hour drive will take us to the Lake Nakuru national park. Birdlife abounds with flamingoes seen in their thousands together with pelicans and other bird species. The lake Nakuru national park is home to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more. From a distance, this soda lake appears ringed in pink thanks to the thousands of flamingos and over 400 other species of birds that call it home. Check in to the lodge, have lunch, catch a short rest followed by an afternoon game drive exploring the wildlife rich National Park. Lake Nakuru has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species – particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhinos, Lions, water bucks, buffalo and baboons are also residents here. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lake Nakuru Sarova lion Hill Lodge

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
