Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve Safari Tour

This morning, our 9-days Kenya and Tanzania budget camping safari tour starts from Nairobi with a pick up from Airport or your hotel after breakfast. We will be driving on the floor of the great gift Valley Masai Mara Game Reserve. We will have a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and later proceed with lunch en route to the Masai Mara game reserve.
On arrival, check in to the camp and later proceed for the late afternoon game drive in search of black-maned lion, elephant, leopard and cheetah, buffalo, and other plains game. Return to the Mara Mwangaza Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara Big 5, Predators, and Wildebeest Migration River crossing Trail

We will be having 3 nights in the Masai Mara game reserve to help increase our chances of witnessing the great Wildebeest migration River crossing live.
We have two full days to spend exploring the park, training the big 5 and the big predators of the Masai Mara Game reserve.
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game drive and also visit the Hippo Pool (Mara River). Here you can come out of the vehicle and sit on the rocks and view the hippos and crocodiles in the river. You can also go for a short walk with a warden. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park (Flamingoes)/Rhinos Tour

This is our last day in the Masai Mara game reserve. We will have an early morning game, pre-breakfast, followed by a game drive to catch on predators hunting in the morning, enjoy the sunrise and later drive back to the camp for full breakfast.
After breakfast, we leave Masai Mara National Game Reserve and head north to Lake Nakuru National Park. A renowned bird watcher’s paradise.
Lunch en route to arrive at the pink lake by late afternoon. Since Lake Nakuru does not have re-entry (Enter the Park – Exit and want to come back again ) you pay double park entry; we will drive straight to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.
NB: This is because the time left is not enough to explore the park fully and so we create more time to explore the park the next day.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park

Morning breakfast in good time and later exit the hotel and drive to explore Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive round Lake Nakuru to view flamingoes, waterbuck, Rhinos, buffaloes, etc.
This alkaline lake is home to an astonishing variety of waterbirds but the most spectacular of these are the flamingos that flock here in their thousands, turning the lake and shores pink with their colorful plumage.
The surrounding national park also has big game attractions, with populations of leopard, lion, buffalo, and a welter of antelope species.
After bird and game viewing exit the park and drive to Amboseli national park through the bustling city of Nairobi where you will have lunch to arrive in Amboseli with an en-route game drive to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kumanna tented camp for budget safari accommodation or any of similar.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park Discovery + Scenic View of Mount Kilimanjaro from Kenya

Full day spent exploring the Amboseli National Park with picnic lunch boxes serve in the park. Amboseli National park boast of hosting one of the world’s most iconic mountains. Mount Mount Kilimanjaro forms a unique backdrop to Amboseli National Park and you can grab an excellent view of the park just by the comfort of your camp.
The park is the driest and sparsely vegetated park, Amboseli’s trump card is its lush wetlands where large elephant herds gather with snow-capped Kili, rising nearly six kilometers (3.7 miles) in the background.
As well as its famously photogenic elephants, Amboseli is also home to heavyweight predators like lion, leopard, hyena, and cheetah, as well as their prey such as buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and antelope. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kimana Camp or similar.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park - Lake Manyara

After breakfast, leave Amboseli Game Reserve for the Namanga border (Immigration and customs, you can get your visas for Tanzania charge $50) and then proceed to Arusha arriving in time for lunch.
Thereafter, proceed to Lake Manyara for a game drive in search of lions on trees. Dinner and overnight at the Twiga Campsite.
Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting.
In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich birdlife, tree-climbing lions, and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from savannah to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast leaves Lake Manyara for Serengeti National Park which is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park adjoining the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species including; zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik-dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe, and warthog).
The Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals, and bat-eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.
The park offers a rewarding bird viewing experience with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen among others You will also be able to witness the fantastic GNU Migration from Masai Mara with predators following at close range. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Early morning Serengeti National Park game drive. Return to the campsite for late breakfast and thereafter proceed with picnic lunch for Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at the Simba Campsite.
Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha - Kilimanjaro Airport/Transfer back to Nairobi

Enjoy morning breakfast and later descent into the Crater with picnic lunch boxes for a game, 6 hrs game drives exploring the Garden of Eden.
Thereafter ascend from the Crater and drive to Arusha to arrive by late afternoon where the safari ends with Hotel/Airport drop off.
NB: We can always organize for your transfer back to Nairobi if you wish to get back to Nairobi but at an extra fee. Alternatively, you can choose to spend a night in Arusha and catch a shuttle bus to Nairobi the next day in the Morning or Afternoon.
