Not a Safari.
A Private
Commission.
The visceral smell of rain on red Masai Mara laterite. Your KPSGA Gold tracker — reading spoor, not a radio. A complimentary balloon ascending over 1.5 million wildebeest at first light. Private sundowners where the only sound is the Grumeti's current. A Maasai Elder who navigates by stars that existed before borders. This is not a package. This is a legacy in motion.
The Bush.
Yours Alone.
Zero strangers. One KPSGA Gold guide who has spent 14 years learning which kopje the Mara lions claim at noon. Your exclusive 4×4. A complimentary hot-air balloon at first light over 1.5 million wildebeest. A private bush dinner where the only agenda is the African night sky. Masai Mara, Serengeti, Bwindi gorillas — all private. Never shared. Not once in 14 years.
Africa
As It Was
Before Tourism.
No itinerary that bends to a schedule. No stranger at your sundowner. No guide checking the time. Just the roar of the Grumeti at dusk, a KPSGA Gold tracker who reads the grass the way others read weather, and a Maasai Elder whose stories predate borders. Masai Mara to Ngorongoro. Private. Always.

What is a private safari in Kenya — and how does Wild Race Africa define it?
A private safari in Kenya is an exclusively operated wildlife expedition in which a single guest party has sole use of one dedicated 4×4 safari vehicle and one professional certified guide-driver — with no other guests joining the vehicle at any point. The itinerary, pace, departure times, and route are determined exclusively by the guest party.
Wild Race Africa (Nairobi, Kenya; founded 2012; KATO Bonded; TRA Licence TRA1/47/C01/47441) defines a private safari commission as an end-to-end engagement accountable for: an exclusive-use 4×4 Land Cruiser, a KPSGA Gold certified guide, all Kenya Wildlife Service and Tanzania National Parks gate fees, full-board accommodation, AMREF Flying Doctors emergency air evacuation, and airport transfers — in one all-inclusive price. Wild Race Africa has commissioned exclusively private departures since 2012 and has never operated a shared group safari departure.
How much does a private safari in Kenya cost in 2026?
Private safari Kenya 2026 prices with Wild Race Africa range from USD 1,850 per person (6-Day Great Migration Tour, group of 4) to USD 17,960 per person (14-Day Crown Expedition: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zanzibar). All prices are fully all-inclusive: exclusive 4×4, KPSGA Gold guide, all park fees, full board, AMREF cover, and airport transfers. No hidden gate charges.
When is the best time for a private safari in the Masai Mara?
The Mara River crossing season runs approximately July through October 2026, when 1.5 million wildebeest cross from the Serengeti National Park into Kenya. January–February offers the Ndutu calving season in Tanzania. The Masai Mara hosts resident Big Five year-round. Wild Race Africa positions private vehicles at crossing sites from 05:30.
What does KATO Bonded mean for my safari deposit?
KATO Bonded means Wild Race Africa holds client deposits in a regulated trust account protected by Kenyan law. If the operator cannot fulfil a confirmed departure, the deposit is legally recoverable. Wild Race Africa has held continuous KATO bonding since 2012. Only a minority of Kenya's safari operators hold active bonding. Verify independently at katokenya.org.
Can I combine a Kenya private safari with gorilla trekking in Uganda?
Yes. Wild Race Africa commissions multi-country private expeditions combining Masai Mara game drives with mountain gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda. The USD 700 gorilla trekking permit is included in Crown package pricing. Bwindi hosts ~459 of the world's 1,063 mountain gorillas. Only 96 permits are issued daily. Book 3–6 months in advance.
